The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is the peak resources sector representative body in Western Australia.
CME membership is open to companies which are directly involved in the resource sector (including mining, oil and gas) or those providing services to it. CME’s current member companies generate 95 per cent of all mineral and energy production and employ 80 per cent of the resources sector workforce in the State.
The role of CME is to champion the Western Australian resources sector and assist it in achieving its vision to lead the world in sustainable practice through innovation and to underpin Australia’s position in the global economy.
CME is a persuasive industry voice, adding value to its member companies in a dynamic and increasingly complex operating environment.
CME Site Access Clearance Service
The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is an accredited broker with CrimTrac and able to offer a Site Access Clearance Service (police history checking service) to its members.
The Site Access Clearance Service operates on a fee-per-clearance basis. The cost per clearance is $38.50 (GST exc).
Accessing the Clearance Service
Companies wishing to utilise the clearance service must firstly be members of CME.
CME has established a new category of membership specifically for Small Business Associates that service the resources sector and wish to utilise the CME Site Access Clearance Service only. There is a nominal annual subscription fee for this category of membership.
Once membership is confirmed, members will then need to enter into a services agreement with CME for the provision of clearance services. The terms and conditions of this services agreement are the standard contractual requirements of CrimTrac for the provision of clearance services.
Membership in the Small Business Associate category provides access to the Site Access Clearance Service only.
CME continues to welcome membership applications from companies that might wish to utilise the clearance service as well as CME’s broader advocacy services. Please click here for information on the benefits of CME membership.
Existing CME members are able to utilise the Site Access Clearance Service subject to entering into a services agreement with CME for the provision of clearance services.
